Right now it's just as well that Irishman Conor McNamara chose radio to work in and not television.

His colleague soccer commentator on BBC 5 Live Darren Fletcher has just broken off describing the action between Manchester City and Bolton to inform the nation about McNamara’s dress sense.

Today, says Fletcher, the man from Limerick is sporting an uncharacteristic brown suit and tie, with striped shirt, silver cuff links and shoes so shiny that you could see your face in them.
