Hit one-man show returns for limited run in London

Award-winning actor Chris Sullivan returns to Britain next week with his unique one-man show, A Bit Of Irish.

Described as a theatrical evening of Irish celebration, this show features poems, limericks, a multitude of stories and the occasional sing-along — all with an Irish theme.

Stories from Irish writers such as James Joyce, Oscar Wilde and WB Yeats are included in the show that runs for a limited week-long season at Jermyn Street Theatre in London.

The performance celebrates everything that Ireland has to offer to the outside world.

Sullivan has made over 100 appearances on British television and has seven feature films to his credit while he has plied his trade in most of the major British studios.

His theatre work includes stints at the Haymarket Theatre in Leicester and the Royal Theatre in Northampton.

He is currently based in Los Angeles but is returning to British soil in time for St. Patrick’s Day.

He first took his one-man show to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2002 where it was well-received by the critics.

The Jermyn Street Theatre hosts the show for a one-week run — six performances altogether — opening on Monday, March 17 at 8pm until Saturday, March 22.
