Brendan Gleeson has brought his gruff but lovable personality to everything
from Michael Collins to Cold Mountain and Breakfast on Pluto. In the latest
box-office topping Harry Potter movie, he steals the show as the hilariously
endearing Professor Alastor “Mad Eye” Moody, who teaches Harry to protect
himself from the dark arts. The inside magazine Back Stage said that Gleeson
carries the entire movie; Time magazine said that the director struck gold
with Gleeson’s performance.
